There’s a lot packed into this visual art weekender (which runs until Sunday 17th June) but the festival team has been wonderful in helping me navigate the must-see events, installations and exhibitions. #andegreeshowtakeover by @fk.art ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ FK McLoone here again, this time to share some highlights from the degree show at Glasgow School of Art. The MFA show takes place off-campus at the Glue Factory – an unusual space which students have utilised every part of, including the girls' bathrooms, where multimedia artist Elina Bry @elle.bry hums a tune from within the walls. Bry's sound, video and performance works describe experiences of medical anxiety, centring on the ritual of singing to herself to control her heartbeat. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #andegrees18 #gsadegreeshow #mfagsa2018 #glasgowschoolofart #degreeshow2018 #elinabry #performanceart #videoart #soundart

#andegreeshowtakeover by @fk.art Hi! I'm FK McLoone, and I'll be covering the DJCAD degree show in Dundee for a-n today. Starting with where I fit in to all this – you can find my own work among my Fine Art coursemates at the top of the Crawford building. My work, which looks at the unremarkably modern aesthetics of the shopping centre, sits alongside the gruesome yet fascinating soft sculpture of @rachelmccreadie_ and the lively poetry and performance of @oddanw (Dan O'Dempsey).
